WORCESTERSHIRE golf ace John Bickerton is in line for a big pay-day after ending the second round of the Dubai Desert Classic in joint sixth place.
The 31-year-old Droitwich Golf Club member was on nine under par, seven shots behind leader Tiger Woods after an excellent round of 67.
He shot six birdies and only his one bogey on the par-four eighth prevented him sharing fourth place.
Hereford's David Park, however, missed the cut after shooting five bogies in a second round of 75, leaving him on level par.
Meanwhile, Woods repeated his opening day 64 to move closer to his first victory of the year.
After trailing Dane Thomas Bjorn for most of the second round, the world number one produced five back-nine birdies to reach halfway on a brilliant 16-under-par total of 128. That is only three outside the European Tour record he himself set at the NEC World Championship last year.
Indian Jeev Milkha Singh, battling for his European Tour future after being put out of the game by injury last year, is three further back.
