MANAGER Jan Molby is delighted with the way new £50,000 striker Drewe Broughton has settled into life at Kidderminster Harriers.

And he's predicting a big future for the former Peterborough United front-runner who went into today's Nationwide League Division Three clash at Blackpool with five goals to his credit in eight matches since his joining Harriers.

Molby said: "I went on record as saying that goalscoring is not his strong point and he didn't come here with a particularly impressive scoring record, but obviously he's started off very well for us.

"He's had chances in nearly every game he's played in. I think the only one he didn't have any chances was in the recent match with Southend.

"Against Cardiff last Sunday he played up front on his own and I thought he really relished that. He bashed their big centre halves about and caused them a lot of problems.

"I'm certainly delighted with him. We can't get him off the training ground. He wants to stay behind every day and do that bit extra, which are good signs because there's a lot of areas where he can improve.

"If we can improve him five to ten per cent then I think we are going to have a very good player on our hands.

"We've got 14 games left and I would suggest that if he gets himself into double figures then he's got to be happy with that."

Twenty-two year-old Broughton, who began his career at Norwich City, attracted the attention of a number of other clubs before Molby snapped up his services from Peterborough.
