CALLOW End Harriers in their first season in the Sterling Classic Malvern Football League struggled in the opening months but by now find themselves moving up the table after some mid season signings which have revitalised their season.

On this occasion Callow End were too strong for their visitors and recorded their first home win of the season to record a 4-2 victory with goals from Nathan Dixon, Guy Danks, James Boyce and an own goal to move them level on points with Portobello United and Talbot Head.

Morgan Aero 8 recorded their first League victory of the season over Bell Inn 98 by three goals to two. Fresh from their cup victory last week they collected their first points of the season against their mid-table rivals.

Fromes Hill move into second place after a 3-1 away victory over Portobello United at Lower Howsell Road. The visitors top goalscorer Shaun Taylor bagged a brace and along with James Howard they move to their highest League position of the season.

Alan Barnes scored Portobello United's only goal which sees them slip down the table and into seventh position.

Intermilokal crashed to a 20-0 loss against leaders LTFC 2000 at home. No less than four hat-tricks dominated proceedings for the Ledbury based side, James Dean collected four goals, Nicky Welsh, Lee Clueit and Ashley Jones eache grabbed three goals each respectively. A brace from Andrew Smith and goals from Duncan Preedy, Mark Davies, Chris Grubb, Cliff Tipton and Paul James compounded the misery for Intermilokal who have been without a victory since January 14.

Campden Town won 2-1 at home to visitors Hereford Lads Club in the Under 18s Youth Division.

At the latest League Meeting the draw for the Semi-Finals of the Presidents Cup resulted in the following line-ups; Callow End Harriers, Morgan or Portobello United versus Bull Allstars, Morgan Aero 8 versus Intermilokal or Club AC 30.

Semi-Final ties are scheduled to be played on Sunday 8th April.

The draw for the Rose Bowl competition involving clubs in the Under 18s Youth Division resulted in a first round tie involving Hereford Lads Club versus Campden Town, with the winners facing an away trip to Tupsley Pegasus Juniors in the Semi-Finals. The other tie sees Kempsey at home to Westbury 2000.

The League is looking to run a 5-a-side competition in the Summer months of July and August, open to clubs in the Malvern and Ledbury area.
