WORCESTER City boss John Barton is confident his side can upset Dr Martens League Premier Division leaders Burton Albion tomorrow.

City expect their biggest crowd of the season at St George's Lane for the visit of Nigel Clough's side (3pm).

But third-placed City go into the match unbeaten in five games, and Barton believes they are capable of beating his former club -- but will have to be at their best to do so.

"The games that we have had recently, we have competed as well as we have done all season. We will have to do exactly the same tomorrow and a bit more if we are to get the result.

"It's an attractive game and one that can give us a big lift if we do the job well. But we have to be at our best, there is no doubt about that."

Barton hopes City can end the big-game hoodoo that has affected them several times this season.

"We have talked about it many times in that we have had crucial games on a few occasions this season and I felt that we have needed to be successful in them.

"We have just fallen short in all of them, and that is why we are not contesting the top two places more closely."

Andy Bradley is set to return after a two-game absence with ankle and knee injuries to replace on-loan Allan Davies, who is not permitted to play tomorrow.

Chris Greenman and Paul Carty are also candidates to move into the right-back berth, and the re-adjustment could also allow newcomer Mark Shepherd to make his full debut up front alongside Mark Owen. Midfielder Marc Burrow should also be fit after suffering a cut mouth in Tuesday's 1-0 win at Clevedon.

Barton will leave it until the last minute to finalise his line-up, but added: "Depending on availability of people we have a bit of flexibility, not just in personnel but in formations as well. We will take everything on board before deciding on our game plan."

Burton player-manager Clough, the former Nottingham Forest and Liverpool star, will not play tomorrow, having been sidelined for several weeks by a knee injury.

Travelling support is expected to swell the gate to around 1,500, beating City's previous best of 1,375 for the New Year's Day clash with Newport.

It's the start of a big weekend for City, as on Monday they bid to reach the semi-finals of the Dr Martens Cup when they entertain Bilston Town.
