Stratford: AT a meeting of Stratford-on-Avon Board of Guardians, the Building Plans Committee recommended the Council not to pass plans relating to a new house about to be erected at Ashorne Hill, on account of the damp course being in the wrong position, and back kitchen being only six feet high, instead of eight feet, as required by the by-laws. It was decided to give Mr Cole (surveyor) permission to hire a steam roller, the cost of which was 25s a day, and to advertise for the carting of stone. The clerk gave notice of the half-yearly audit to be held on March 11.
