LITTLETON Athletic all but wrapped up the H20 Plumbing and Heating Division following three more 5-0 victories.

Mathematically, they can still be caught by SDM Wizzards or Wyre Piddle QT, but any sort of victory against Wyre Piddle Red Devils next week will clinch the crown.

The Athletic showed the gulf between themselves and the rest of the division when Martin Brown and Andrew Taylor swept second-placed Wyre Piddle Triple X aside 5-0. All games were decided in two straight sets.

Athletic previously recorded back to back wins over clubmates Flirts. Brown and Taylor beat Emma Talbot and Helen Houselander in the first match, while Rebecca Talbot made a rare appearance to beat Eleanor Lasota and Houselander in the second 5-0 whitewash.

The runners-up slot looks like a fight between Triple X and SDM Wizzards. Oliver Bailey and Alan Chung from the Wizzards visited the Triple X and came away with a 4-1 victory.

Chung beat both Adam Monks and Steve Charlton with Charlton's 21-15, 21-18 win over Bailey earning them one point.

Littleton Flirts' Emma Talbot and Tim Haines beat Craig Pitcher when Triple X visited Littleton but Charlton beat them both and together with Pitcher took the doubles and the match 21-19, 22-20.

Wyre Piddle QT beat their younger clubmates Red Devils 4-1 with two wins from Adam Town-send. Charles Fisher beat brother David but lost to Leon Williams 21-18, 11-21, 21-10.

Young Williams is improving with every match and he beat both Edward Talbot and James Byrne to help the Red Devils to victory over Littleton Warriors.

Byrne and Talbot both beat Nick Walton but Williams and David Fisher won the doubles 21-18, 21-14 to take the match 3-2.

Wyre Piddle Outcasts extended their lead at the top of Division Two with a 7-3 success over Bengeworth 49ers.

Ian Gooderham was unbeaten for the Outcasts but Stan Owen won two for the 49ers including a 14-21, 21-17, 21-17 win over Graham Fisher.

Wyre Barbedwyre moved to within a point of second placed Bengeworth Green with a 10-0 thrashing of Bengeworth Sapphires thanks to Don Bailey, Joan Parfitt and Colin Green.
