Nuneaton III 12, Evesham III 34pts

EVESHAM travelled to Nuneaton on Saturday pumped up and ready to continue their recent run of good form.

They arrived with only 13 men, but thankfully Nuneaton were only 14-strong. From the outset Evesham were bursting holes in the home side's defence and it soon became obvious that a victory was there for the taking.

Six tries were scored by the visitors, four of which came from brilliant linking and support play.

Ed Williams, "Dusty", Jamie Cameron and skipper Simon Edwards all crossed for tries.

Man of the match went to scrum half Mike Nesbit who had an excellent game, with many surging runs.

His two tries were purely individual and as a direct result of quick thinking.

Si Garret converted two tries, with the other four attempts reminiscent of Barnes Wallace's 'bouncing bomb'!

Further mention goes to "Dusty", a useful utility player within the side. Never afraid to play in the forwards or backs, he popped up everywhere and had a fine individual game.

Evesham visit Alcester on Saturday in what is expected to be a close match.
