FOUR dropped shots at the last four holes on the opening day left Jeremy Robinson with plenty to do in the second 18 holes at the Caltex Singapore Masters.

The 35-year-old Evesham golfer was lying three under for the tournament but ended up shooting a one over par 72.

Robinson was never in with a chance on day two of another low scoring event even though he shot a 70 to finish level par but three adrift of the cut mark.

"I'm glad I went and got started on the Tour. I played fairly well but didn't hole much again," he recalled.

Like the rest of the field, Robinson struggled with the humidity - a factor worsened by his late call.

"I got a phone call on Monday lunch time, flew out the same night and never got the chance of a practice round," Robinson said. "I knew it would be warm but realistically I should have made the cut."

Robinson will be hoping to get in some practice in slightly easier conditions this week, while hoping to confirm his place in next week's Qatar Masters.

"I have got a fairly good chance of getting in that one and hopefully I will be able to play for four or five events in the next few weeks," Robinson concluded.
