Evesham: The Rev E Davenport has commenced a series of lectures in the Chafecote at Rous Lench, on beekeeping for a profit, illustrated by lantern views (under the auspices of the Worcestershire County Council). The first lecture was given on Tuesday evening last, which was well attended, and much interest was manifested in it.

EVESHAM: Death of One of Evesham's Oldest Inhabitants. Mr William Mason Price, one of Evesham oldest inhabitants, passed away at the Evesham Infirmary on Saturday, at the age of 90.
He was born in August 1835 in Evesham and was the eldest of nine children.

Evesham: Following the gift of a Bechstein pianoforte to Evesham Hospital recently by the Past Patients' Association, 20 modern lockers were handed over on Monday evening to Mr H. White, chairman of the Hospital House Committee, by Mr W. Thomasson, chairman of the association. The lockers, which are for use in the women's ward, replace the old lockers which are low, heavy, and not very large, and needed much polishing.

EVESHAM: Talks between union and management officials are being held today at the Evesham canning factory of T.W. Beach and Sons following an announcement that 16 workers are to be laid off.
