A REWARD of £1,000 reward is on offer in a bid to catch those responsible for a brutal fox killing when two of the animals were mutilated.

The remains of the two foxes, both vixens, were dumped by a roadside hedge in Broome.

Their tails had been removed by the time the animals, one of which was pregnant, were discovered by Deana Jones and her 13-year-old son during a bike ride.

Now the Animal Cruelty Investigation Group has put up the reward in the hope of catching the perpetrators of the attack, which happened on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, February 17 and 18.

An ACIG spokesman said the foxes had probably been killed by a mixture of being bitten by dogs, and beating and kicking by "brutal and sadistic" thugs.

Anyone with information on the incident should write to ACIG, PO Box 8, Halesworth, Suffolk IP19 0JL.
