A DOMINANT performance saw Stourport Swifts return to winning ways in the Midland Alliance with a 2-1 victory at Willenhall Town on Tuesday.
A goal-line clearance prevented a more convincing scoreline as Swifts continued their revival from the previous week's FA Vase exit to Tooting and Mitcham United.
Paul Moore forced a parry from Willenhall keeper Nathan Vaughan just three minutes into the match at Willenhall.
But the ex-Kidderminster Harriers player set up the opener soon after.
Moore sent in a low drive from the left and Lee Booth duly added to his impressive tally from the edge of the six-yard box.
Mid-table Willenhall were quick to hit back when a long ball found Gareth Day to equalise on 20 minutes.
But Swifts upped the pressure before finally restoring the lead 10 minutes into the second half.
A corner from Lea Shaw was headed on by Simon Marsh with Moore on hand to bury the ball past the stranded Vaughan.
Alex Cowley forced a point blank save as Stourport continued to dominate and Marsh fired a further opportunity into the side netting.
A further string of chances resulted in sub Richard Taylor being denied by a last-gasp clearance.
Fixture, Saturday: Swifts v Knypersley Victoria (Midland Alliance, 3pm).
