I WAS so pleased to read that Dr Richard Taylor is to stand for parliament.

As I had the good fortune to be under his care at Kidderminster Hospital on two occasions, I know what a caring and sincere man he is.

Although he has been criticised by some people, most of who have no idea at all what it is like at the sharp end, he has never wavered, never been shaken from his beliefs.

He will certainly get my vote, as I know he will give people in this area a voice in the Commons, and he won't have to bend to any party pressure.

More power to his elbow.
