Hallow WMC 3, Bishampton 1

BISHAMPTON'S Jekyll and Hyde season continued with a poor display at Hallow.

As early as the fifth minute they could have been one down when Mickey Bryant hit a post.

Neither team strung many passes together on an uneven surface that caused both sides to make mistakes.

Only spasmodically did Bishamp-ton threaten the Hallow goal, and it was no surprise when the home side took the lead.

Bishampton defenders were caught napping when an unmarked Alan Davis received the ball from a throw in. He ran into the penalty area unchallenged to shoot past Rob Bille.

After this setback the visitors tried to step up their game but vital passes still went astray. However, just before half time a fine ball out of defence by Mark Taylor found Greg Mason who drifted past one defender and reached the byline before pulling the ball back for Matt Bicknell to crash the ball into the net.

Finishing the first half in the ascendancy the visitors were expecting to go on and take the game in the second but it was Hallow who played the better football and continually caused the visitors problems with the speed of their attacks.

Bishampton had one chance to take the lead but Tony George, sent clear of the home defence, pulled his shot wide.

From this let off Hallow never looked back and a swift move down the right saw Davis's cross turned into his own net by Taylor.

Bishampton's miserable afternoon was completed ten minutes from time when Richard Bray notched Hallow's third to secure a deserved win.
