Leckhampton Rvrs 0, Badsey Rgrs U-11 2

BADSEY were under the cosh for much of the opening half but they went in at half time with the narrowest of leads.

Player of the match Jamie Miles had earlier brought a superb save out of the Rovers goalkeeper after 20 minutes but, when Miles headed the ball back over the defence just before the break, Charlie Stanley was on hand to chip the keeper from close-range.

Rangers were the better side after the restart and the home keeper was called upon to make several good stops, with Jamie Clarke the most unfortunate striker.

However, Clarke got his reward ten minutes from time when he collected the ball close to halfway. He beat three opposing players before striking a left-footer under the advancing keeper.

Evesham Utd U-14 2, Pershore Tn 1

PLAYER of the match Luke Gresty grabbed a late winner for United after both sides had toiled on the heavy pitch.

However, United weren't to be denied and they sealed a quarter-final place thanks to last-ditch strikes from Kennedy and skipper Daniel Millward.

Littleton Juniors U-10 6, Swan Lane 1

BEN Johns gave Littleton a first minute lead and they never looked back.

Swan were stung into action and Josh Craze easily beat Sam Bastow to make it 2-1.

Johns restored the two-goal cushion after the interval and Keen again set up Goss to make it 4-1.

Ryan Clarke then ran from halfway to score a fifth before Tom Cuthbert rounded off the scoring with a clinical shot into the corner.

Bastow denied Sam Dunning and Craze struck a post as Swan replied in gallant fashion in the later stages.

Evesham Utd U-10 5, Welford 2

UNITED led by five clear goals at half time but a determined Welford fought back to salvage their pride.

However, they failed to add to their total and conceded two goals from Welford's Tom Miles and Sam Woodman.

Swan Lane 1, Evesham Utd U-10 3

ADAM Styles was both villain and hero as United recorded a hard-fought win.

Ben Parry gave Evesham the lead only for Styles to head the ball into his own net. But the defender then produced a miraculous goalline clearance to prevent Swan taking the lead and the save was all the more crucial as Parry added his second.

Tom Adam Miles secured the points with a well-struck dead-ball kick in the closing minutes.

Peopleton Tigers U-9 0, Elmley Castle 0

PEOPLETON lost their 100 per cent record as they failed to score for the first time this season, while Elmley kept their first clean sheet.

The highlight of the first half was a superb reaction save from Elmley keeper and player of the match Rob Walters and he continued to thwart the hosts during the second period but to no avail.

Evesham Colts U-12 6, Lakeside 1

AFTER five weeks without a game, Colts showed they hadn't lost the art of winning with Sunday's comfortable Cheltenham and Gloucester League success.

Lakeside scored with their first attack but Will Gayton soon levelled and then went on to complete his hat-trick before half time.

Evesham kept up the pressure and Ollie Johnson's fine finish made it 4-1.

A foul on Gayton provided Phil Edgeworth with the chance to make it five from the penalty spot, but the Lakeside taker wasn't quite as cool at the other end as he shot his spot-kick wide.

Gayton capped a fine individual and team effort with Evesham's sixth goal in the closing stages.

Stratford Colts U-11 1, Bredon Colts 5

The visitors created chances but failed to find the net and paid the price when Lions made it 3-0 courtesy of Joe Ford's second half strike from a tight angle.

Ryan Cantrill did give Rovers some hope but Ford scored his second of the game to seal a hard-fought home win in which Martin Tomes and Tom McLaughlin were named players of the match.

Norton Rgrs U-13 4, Evesham Utd 0

A GOALLESS opening half saw Evesham, playing down the slope, exert the most pressure but it was table toppers Norton who created the best chances.

Ashley Wilkes hit the bar, Ashley Knight should have done better after rounding the keeper while James Muddiman was brought down just outside the area when certain to score.

Player of the match Dan Cotterill headed Rangers into the lead after restart only for Evesham to level following a free kick.

However, Norton now found their true form and Wilkes, Knight and Tristan Buckley all found the net to seal a deserved win.
