SNOOKER: Richard King suffered disappointment in snooker's biggest competition of the season, the World Championships.
Dreams of a visit to The Crucible in Sheffield faded away when the Bewdley professional fell in the first qualifying round in Newport.
King, who hoped to do better in recent qualifying events, lost 10-4 to Bjorn Haneever. Kidderminster's Terry Murphy must win one match to make the final round.
