MOTOR SPORT: KART ace Nathaniel Freke completed a whitewash over a strong field at Three Sisters circuit on Sunday.
The victory puts the Kidderminster racer into the lead at the club championships.
Two brilliant starts in his heats saw Freke win both qualifying races over a full grid of 34 karts, including three of his main challengers for this year's British title.
The two wins guaranteed pole for the final and after a long race Freke took victory, despite handling problems in the latter stages.
He said his engine continues to provide excellent power but the kart lost all grip during the second part of the race.
Freke will be competing at the long circuit UK cup meeting in March at Cadwell Pwerk, a one-race British title meeting where karts can reach speeds of 150mph.
It will be a relatively new experience for Freke, who has only raced long circuit once before.
