HOCKEY: SAD Chaddesley Corbett only had themselves to blame for a heavy 6-0 home defeat to Aston University in the DTZ League West Midlands Two.
Recent good form evaporated and after conceding an early goal heads dropped and the students dominated the match throughout.
The loss of captain Jon Hart with a broken finger added to the gloom as the match followed a pattern of misplaced passes and poor marking by the home team.
Although only two goals up at half-time, Aston ran riot in the last 10 minutes to achieve a deserved high score.
Only Guy Smith for the villagers performed with credit.
