NETBALL: FORMER netball players are being encouraged to make a comeback and boost the thriving Kidderminster and District League.

The competition launches its summer section in April when more than 30 teams will be involved in four divisions.

And organisers want to use the "fun" factor to sell the game to even more females, aged over 14, in Wyre Forest.

Matches will be held at Wolverley High School on Thursday nights.

League vice-chairman Jayne Hardwick said: "We want to encourage fresh blood and get another division going.

"Many women have played years ago and might just want to get fit. We can try to get individual players into a team or possibly form a new one.

"We're well known for being a friendly league and there's a good social side."

Worcestershire, packed with Wyre Forest stars, enjoyed a successful visit to Wiltshire.

The seniors firsts won 40-39 and the seconds triumphed 46-40, while the U-18s and U-16s enjoyed 44-17 and 42-26 victories.
