Despite torrential rain in the morning, members and visitors gathered for the 17th birthday party on February 12.
The county chairman had accepted an invitation but unfortunately had to cancel as her area was cut off by floods.
The contribution to the county wall hanging was on show at the meeting.
Entertainment was provided by singer Dorothy Norman and her accompanist, Liz Chestley, and the music was interspersed by readings, both serious and comic, on the theme of love as it was so close to St Valentine's Day.
There was an American tea complete with birthday cake made by M. Smith.
The competition was won by Carol Garbett, with May Lloyd second and Marion Reynolds third, and there were 12 raffle prizes.
The next meeting is on March 12.
