I WAS surprised to see the letter 'The path to a clearer future' on February 14 because having seen your article on February 7 in which Mr Ashman highlighted the problem of the rubbish and the fallen tree on the North Worcestershire Walk, off Whettybridge, in Rubery (a very good article by the way) I contacted him because I wanted to help.
After walking up the path to see the problem myself I spoke to Cllr Peter McDonald, the local Worcestershire County Council representative, who assured me he would contact the rights of way department to resolve this problem.
I then informed Mr Ashman that this matter was being dealt with.
If we know about problems, Beacon ward councillors will do our best to help.
Cllr Paul Williamson,
Bromsgrove District Council,
Beacon ward.
