I HAVE received a letter from the Wildmoor Residents' Association asking for support in its campaign to stop a proposed motocross track in Wildmoor.
I was appalled that people would think that noise levels would be high, because for many years the Stanley Evans quarry had a motocross running there most weekends, and that had hills not protected by quarry sides.
We live opposite that quarry and we were certainly not affected by noise levels. Better a motocross site than a landfill site as part of Stanley Evans is now!
Isn't it better that there would be a properly organised track, with all the safety facilities for these kind of off road bikes, rather than having fields and crops ruined because there is nowhere for them to go?
I applaud the quarry for its efforts in trying to improve family activities because motocross is for people of all ages.
I only wish I was a few years younger, I would have a go myself.
Mrs S Eades,
Stoneybridge,
Belbroughton.
