IF EVER there was an incentive to take up rallying, then this is it!

No, it's not Manchester United's trophy cabinet, it's the silverware accumulated by Bournheath rally star Nathan Crewe and his co-driver, Chris Clifford.

The duo scooped an outstanding SEVEN major trophies as their reward for a string of fine performances in 2000.

They include the Heart of England 1,400 class Rally Championship, the Heart of England Media Award, the Quinton Motor Club Overall Champions, the Quinton Motor Club Single Venue Championship, the Quinton Motor Club Multi Venue Championship, the Jack Romain Best Newcomer Award and the Welsh Clubmans 1,400 class Rally Championship.

Local businesses have continued their support of the race aces after such a successful season, sponsoring 20-year-old Crewe and Worcester-based Clifford in the BTRDA Championship.

Crewe explained: "The Nailers Arms Bar and Restaurant, Bournheath Van Centre and Cottrill Transport really helped to make things happen for us last year. They have come together again this year to ensure our continued success and to support future talent."

"I would also like to thank the Bromsgrove Advertiser/Messenger for their support -- it was invaluable to our achievements, in particular the Heart of England Media Award."
