AGAIN the Government is urging people to save for their old age. A sound idea, indeed. But I can hear people saying "and have it taken off you".
This is what has happened to millions of elderly folk. It all started with the inflation of the 1970s and the continuous drop in interest rates for savers.
Now it makes sense not to have any savings over £3,000.
