THE importance of recycling will be highlighted during a tour of Redditch schools which begins tomorrow.
Redditch Council has launched the scheme, which will give children the chance to learn how to treat rubbish properly.
The council's Keep Redditch Tidy team will show children how to make their own recycled paper and explain the reasons why litter should not be created.
Andrea Morris, from the council's environmental services, said: "We hope that by working with children in schools we can encourage more youngsters to take a responsible attitude to waste management when they are older."
For more details of paper making and other school activities, call the waste management section at the town hall on 64252.
