The top two in the Bromsgrove and Redditch League enjoyed comfortable wins with Lickey Monarchs seeing off Droitwich 10-0 and Newtown Works beating Himbleton 8-2.

Newton Works B drew 5-5 at home to Astwood Bank for their best result of the season.

And Barnt Green squeezed home 6-4 at Hillcrest.

The Division Two derby between Studley Road Terriers and Studley Road Nomads ended 6-4 to the Nomads.

Barnt Green Hornets had to win the doubles to get a 5-5 draw at home to Lickey Panthers.

Ian Anderson did best for the Hornets winning two games with Ivor Anderson and Paul Grigg getting one each.

For Lickey, Geoff Unitt won his three games, John Dale getting the other two.

Barnt Green B beat Hillcrest B 7-3.

Winners for Barnt Green were Steve Hore (three) and Jason McFaul and Jim McGuire (two each). Graeme Farrell won twice for Hillcrest before teaming up with Terry Pountney to win the doubles.

And Droitwich B recorded a predictable 7-3 win over their C team.
