REDDITCH Regents are enjoying a welcome break until their next fixture after an injury-hit squad pulled off a remarkable victory.

A Regents side shorn of five regulars turned around a 21-5 first quarter deficit to beat Barton 70-61 and stay third.

And Regents bagged an amazing 15 free throws as frustration set in for Barton in the final quarter.

The win came on the heels of a 75-55 win at Aston University and coach Dave Bradshaw has the chance to rest his stars before league action resumes at Solihull outfit Old Sils on Tuesday, March 13 (tip-off 8.15pm).

Small forward Tommy Humphries needs a two week break after playing against Barton despite shin splints and point guard Darren Ling hopes to shake off a bout of flu.

Towering forward Lee Dowling should return after work commitments and fellow forward Andy Swift hopes to return after injuring his ankle in a trial for England under 20s.

But three spot Adam Jefferies is sidelined for three weeks with an ankle injury and two spot Danny Moorhouse is doubtful with a similar problem.
