REDDITCH-born Geoff Maine, a former Leys High School pupil, has joined Liverpool's Triple T Rally Team.
The team runs an Alfa Romeo engineered Talbot Sunbeam in the Association of Northwestern Car Clubs 2001 Stage Rally Championship.
Geoff, of Aintree, is co-driver to Huyton's Tim Jones for events at northern venues, including Three Sisters, near Wigan, and Ty Croes Race Circuit on Anglesey.
A member of Liverpool Motor Club for several years Maine's motorsports experience, includes driving in production car trials and organising sprint meetings at Aintree Racecourse.
The car's debut event was on December 30 at Park Hall near Preston and despite a mysterious electrical fault, the team finished 16th in class.
The next rally is on March 18 at Three Sisters Race Circuit.
