STOURPORT Swifts trium-phed 2-1 when they visited Willenhall Town for a Mid-land Alliance encounter last night.
A goalline clearance prevented a more convincing scoreline in a game that saw the Swifts dominate for most of the time.
Just three minutes into the match Paul Moore forced a parry from Willenhall goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan before the Stourport player set up the opener.
Moore sent in a low drive from the left and Lee Booth duly added to his impressive tally from the edge of the six-yard area.
Willenhall were quick to make amends, however, with a long ball finding Gareth Day to equalise on 20 minutes.
Stourport upped the pressure before finally restoring the lead 10 minutes into the second half with a corner from Lea Shaw which was headed on by Simon Marsh and Moore was on hand to bury the ball past the stranded Vaughan.
Alex Cowley forced a point- blank save as Stourport continued to dominate and Marsh fired a further opportunity into the side netting.
A further string of chances resulted in sub Richard Taylor being denied by a last gasp clearance.
