FAIRFIELD were slow to get going and were soon being pushed back by Westbury, who were first to the ball and winning most of the challenges in the first half an hour.

It was no surprise when they took the lead through David Horsfall. Fairfield picked up a little and created a couple of good chances before the break.

Fairfield came out for the second half in a more determined mood and started to play the ball about more.

On the hour mark some good work between Yemi Ingram and Waine Devey created an opening for Paul Newbon to score, beating the advancing keeper from 15 yards out.

This inspired Fairfield to take the game to Westbury and they created enough chances to win this game, but Westbury soaked up the pressure and scored the winning goal with the very last kick of the game.

This was hard on Fairfield, who put in a good performance in the second half, and can consider themselves unlucky to have not sealed a point.
