FINAL rehearsals are under way for Astwood Bank Operatic Society as members prepare to perform La Vie Parisienne at the Palace Theatre next week.
The comic light operetta by Jacques Offenbach takes place at the Alcester Street theatre from Tuesday until Saturday, March 10, with shows starting at 7.30pm.
La Vie Parisienne promises to be a vibrant show with popular tunes, dance sequences and chorus singing.
Publicity officer Steve Goddard said: "Members of the chorus also have a chance to shine in the minor roles.
"The costumes are stunning so the audience should really be entertained and thrilled by what they see."
La Vie Parisienne is essentially about foreign tourists visiting Paris.
Mr Goddard said: "As an interesting sideline, our production is bringing an audience which includes a party from that fair city who actually performed the French version of La Vie Parisienne in Paris last year."
The show is being produced by Helen Elvins and Jill Bray with Norma Kift as the society's musical director and Michael Hawkins, Steve Skinner, Davis Steele, Katie Leaver, Barbara Hopton-Wilkes and Janna Mutton in the leading roles.
Tickets cost £7 and £6.50 (concessions) from the Palace Theatre box office on 65203.
