AN Inkberrow-based internet company has been set up to provide a comprehensive guide to make eating out much more interesting for the average food lover.

www.dine4u.com ltd, based at High Street, was conceived by Phillip Millham and Richard Marsden who were keen to create a restaurant search engine which would be simple to use and contain the necessary ingredients to complement a meal out.

The site now lists almost 500 restaurants and the search facility allows users to embark on a 'virtual tour' of select establishments chosen by dine4u.com for their fine food, contemporary design and overall atmosphere.

But the company is also keen to build on its portfolio of restaurants in and around Redditch.

Director Mr Millham said: "Users can also find a local florist, taxi firm, even a catering job, in fact anything at all related to eating out. They can also have their photographs taken while out and about to be featured in a photo gallery on the site.

"The 'virtual tour' includes photographs of the interior and exterior, a sample food menu and wine list, a map link, description of the restaurant, opening times and best of all a review section where diners can share their eating experiences and rate a restaurant out of five stars."

He also said the site has many unique features for registered users including a monthly newsflash and entry into weekly competitions to win meals out at top restaurants.

"More and more organisations are looking to associate themselves with dine4u.com including Birmingham City Council, Warwick Tourist Association and Totaljobs.com and as the site continues to expand its portfolio of fine dining establishments, things are looking very good," added Mr Millham.
