I WOULD like to ask your readers to help children facing poverty, abuse, illness and neglect. Shockingly, in the UK one in three children lives in poverty.
A great way to do something positive about this is to support the Children's Promise Appeal.
This raises money for seven charities that work with children - Barnardos, BBC Children in Need, ChildLine, The Children's Society, Comic Relief, NCH and the NSPCC.
To find out how your company can sign up to Children's Promise - which in turn gives employees the chance to donate an hour's pay tax free to the appeal - call the hotline number on 0870 607 1999.
The equivalent of one hour's pay can make a big difference.
