WHAT a fat lot of good it is christening our own bridges with famous names. What's wrong with calling them what they are "The town Bridge" and "The Southern link bridge. I'm sure that would be more explanatory.
The minds of council officials would be better occupied contemplating completing the outer ring road which surely, they must now admit, is urgently necessary.
