TEMPTING smells from new dishes will be wafting out of Broadway's Lygon Arms Hotel following the appointment of two new chefs.

Scots Ian Samson and Mark Walker join the firm as head chef and deputy head chef of Oliver's Brasserie respectively.

Mr Samson previously worked at the Lowry art gallery in Salford, Manchester, as well as Cliveden and Gleneagles, and will have overall control of food at the Lygon Arms.

Mr Walker's appointment is his first venture in England following stints at Glasgow Rangers' Ibrox stadium.

The new culinary team will unleash their skills at a series of gastronomic events beginning with a Spanish theme night, Fiesta Time, on Tuesday, January 30.

The Great Hall will be hosting a champagne house when Laurent Perrier offers an expert talk on its famous wines on Sunday, March 25.
