COULD we please offer a heartfelt "thank-you" to the staff of Kidderminster Hospital dining room.

Throughout the last two harrowing years for hospital staff, they have not only kept up their superb service, but continued to celebrate Hallowe'en, St Valentine's Day etc, with a magnificently decorated dining room and costumes to match.

However, this Christmas, even though the majority will be leaving in January, they have excelled themselves. Our dining room was a work of art - transformed into Santa's grotto, complete with sleigh, snow, fairies and ice queen.

A wonderful Christmas lunch was served, with two sittings a day for five days, to nearly 1,000 acute and community trust staff - an unbelievable feat.

This permanently cheerful team has seen us all through the best of times and the worst of times, their sense of humour never flagging, and a joke always at the ready.

On behalf of all the staff of Kidderminster Hospital past and present, we say "thank-you" for keeping our spirits high and our cholesterol low.

You have been greatly appreciated and you will be greatly missed.
