THERE was only one Christmas Day baby born at Kidderminster Hospital this year - but it was a close call.
Tammy Williams, 20, and 24-year-old fiance John Costello are celebrating the birth of Charlie, who was due on Boxing Day - but decided to put in an appearance at 11.55pm on the 25th.
The couple, who live in Wood Street, Kidderminster, plan to marry next year. Charlie, who weighs in at 7lbs 5oz, is their first child.
Miss Williams has given up her job as a factory worker to be a full-time mother.
She said: "In future we'll probably celebrate Charlie's birthday on June 5, the same day as mine, as he was born on Christmas Day."
