TORY councillor Neil Monkhouse cannot palm off all responsibility for proposing to build offices in the Green Belt on to the Government (You Say, December 11).
I can certainly agree with him that Labour have not done nearly enough to encourage the regeneration of brownfield sites, nor allowed local councils enough say in their own future.
But the Government didn't tell the city council to pick a site in the Green Belt. That decision was the Conservatives' alone.
