BROMSGROVE Rovers hope to have the services of striker Richard Burgess again for their home clash with second-placed Mangotsfield United (3pm).

Burgess moved to Second Division Northampton Town last month, but has been allowed to return to the Victoria Ground on a short-term basis. He played in last week's 4-2 defeat at Hinckley.

Chief executive Pat Bannister

said: "Northampton's reserve games have finished until after Christmas now, and their manager Kevin Wilson has said he can come back and play for us on a short-term basis."

Rovers are hoping to have yet more new faces in their side tomorrow.

They have made a seven-day approach for Sutton Coldfield defender Chris Bryan and are still negotiating to bring Derby youngster Tom Betteridge in on a short-term basis.

Skipper Quentin Townsend completes a three-match suspension as struggling Rovers, who are one place outside the relegation zone, prepare for the second of a run of three games against title contenders.

Bannister added: "For long periods of the game at Hinckley last week we dominated the game -- we just seem to be playing well but are not picking up points.

"But even though we are playing Mangotsfield there is no better time to start to put it right.
