ANOTHER charity shop is to open in the town next year despite opposition from councillors.
Mayor Eric Payne has been approached to open a new Myton Hospice shop, which is to take over an empty High Street building.
Councillor Susan Adams said at a town council meeting last week she believed another charity shop was not needed in Alcester.
She said: "I am sorry to hear we will have another charity shop in High Street and feel it would be of detriment to the town."
