Evesham and District Airgun League

LEAGUE leaders Stanton Club travelled to Wickham-ford SSC and recorded an easy win by 13 points.

Phil Nicholls scored 49 for the home team and Jackie Laming a maximum for Stanton to put her top of the league averages with 48.1667.

Hampton WMC scored their highest score of the season in their home match against Campden RBL but still lost the match by 13 points. Martin Houghton top scored for Hampton with a 48 and Bob Pitcher hit a maximum for Campden.

The surprise of the week was Badsey RBL's defeat by Bidford RBL by one point. Brian Jelfs and Graham Sams both scored 47 for Badsey and both Graham Steen and John Shrimpton 46 for Bidford.

The Lygon Arms were at home to the George and Dragon and took both points after a 20-point win. Roger Munn recorded 48 for the Lygon and Martin Smith 45 for the George.

Evesham SMC took on the Fairfield Nomads and won by seven points with Frazer Wilks high scoring for Evesham with a 46 and Andrew Print 44 for the Nomads.

The last match between Offenham RBL and Badsey Rec saw the former just win by five points with Ady Lewis scoring 49 for Offenham and Martin Haynes 48 for Badsey.
