AS was very kindly announced in the Redditch Advertiser a few weeks ago, the Band of West Mercia Constabulary performed on Saturday, November 25, at St Bede's Middle School with the school's choir to raise funds for Georgette Mullen.
The concert was very successful and and enjoyable time was had by all.
The concert raised £658 and this figure was boosted to £1,000 thanks to a donation from West Mercia Police Pc Fund, a voluntary contribution fund which officers pay into each month to help good causes.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved with the concert and to everyone who donated raffle prizes and made donations even though they were unable to attend the concert.
The money is being used to enrol Georgette in the Stage Coach Music and Drama School, in which we all wish her well.
I'm sure we will be seeing more of Georgette in the future. Watch this space.
