PARISHIONERS in Shipston have unveiled their new millennium feature - a religious sculpture in the St Edmund's Church.
The sculpture of Mary and Child has been made by Shipston sculptor Judy Brown, who has lived in the area since leaving Surrey some 20 years ago.
The stature was blessed at a special service in St Edmund's last Sunday, which saw the return of former rector, the Rev Andrew De Smet, and singing from the choir of Coventry Cathedral. The statue will eventually be mounted on a special plinth of Hornton stone.
