WELLAND driver Bob Ceen, aged 46, and Andy Bull, 29, are amongst the 150 world class teams gearing up for the Network Q Rally of Great Britain, the final round of this year's FIA World Rally Championship.

Bob, a company director and Andy, a motorsport consultant, will be driving a modified Ford Escort Cosworth car (Car 70).

This will be the drivers' 11th attempt at the three day, 938 mile rally which starts in Cardiff on Thursday, November 23.

Last year, Bob and co-driver Alistair Douglas' attempt was ended early on due to mechanical failure following their best ever position, 26th in 1998.

This year's rally - the 14th and final round of the FIA World Rally Championship - features 236 miles of competitive driving over 17 timed-to-the-second special stages, all but two on Forestry Commission gravel roads in South and Mid-Wales.

The network Q Rally of Great Britain - the UK's biggest annual sporting event - is sponsored for the eighth consecutive year by Network Q, the Country's leading quality used car brand with over 480 dealers throughout the UK, selling over 120,000 vehicles of all makes each year.

To improve spectator safety and facilities, entry to all 17 special stages will be restricted to pass holders. One-day and three-day passes can be booked on the Network Q Hotline 01327 850291 or via the official website, www.network-q.co.uk

The all action event begins on Thursday, November 23 with the Family-friendly Rally Show in Cardiff's Cathays Park which is open from 1pm until 10pm. The Rally Show re-opens at the same time on Saturday, November 25. Admission to each Rally Show is FREE.
