COLWALL 2nd XI finally produced a performance and score line which was reminiscent of their league winning play last season.

Early sustained pressure was eventually rewarded when Coral Handley scored the opening goal. East Gloucester did manage a dubious equaliser when Colwall's defence allowed the ball to enter the goal believing it to have been shot from outside the shooting circle.
But the perceived injustice galvanised the home team and goals came regularly as a result of free flowing open play.
Jemma Murchington netting five with some excellent finishing and Coral Handley four with some tenacious attacking play. Emily Lloyd was the other scorer. The game was certainly influenced by the welcome return of Sophie Lloyd after illness.
Overall it was an excellent team performance and keeps Colwall well up in the hunt for promotion.
