SHOPPERS could have to pay for their parking when they come to Moreton in future.
Cotswold District Council's new draft parking strategy includes proposals to introduce the charges on its Old Market Way car park for the first time.
With motorists now charged for parking at the railway station, it leaves the only off-street free parking as the town council-owned High Street parking area, which is used for the Tuesday market. District councillors say the scheme will mean that parking spaces are left free for shoppers and not taken by all-day parkers.
The strategy leaves car parking in Stow free of charge, but Bourton's Rissington Road car park will only be charged from 8am to 6pm instead of the current 8pm.
