THE Wellington Heath Horticultural Society held their November meeting in Christ Church on Wednesday, November 8.

Over 30 members attended to hear Mr Davis Myers give a talk/workshop of Cyclamen and Primroses. He went through the year of a grower and giving hints and tips on the best way to protect from pests and diseases.

At the end of the talk he gave out a small questionnaire for members to complete, in the form of a competition with a cyclamen as a prize. Mrs May Knowles won this prize. The next meeting of the Horticultural Society will also be held in the church in December when a member Barry Sharples will give the talk. He will be talking about 'Plant Design in the Garden'.

The Horticultural Society committee wishes to record their thanks and appreciation to Christ Church PCC for allowing them to use the church for their meetings whilst the Memorial Hall is being rebuilt.
