AS part of their studies of King Henry VIII, children from Class 3 recently travelled to Portsmouth to visit the Mary Rose and a 'younger' warship, The Warrior.
The children learnt about the extensive work that has been involved in the recovery of the Mary Rose and the number of artefacts found which are now on display in the museum.
From a distance, the children were able to see a further variety of ships of all ages including a destroyer and frigates in addition to the majestic looking Victory.
All in all a most enjoyable day.
Thank you to all those involved in the annual jumble sale. Despite all the various difficulties with the weather, over £168 was raised for church funds.
