THE players of Evesham Rowing Club's tennis section celebrated a stunning success when they won the Herefordshire and Worcestershire LTA Men's Summer League title.
It will be the first time since 1991 that the club's senior side have appeared in the First Division and they achieved their rise in status in style losing just one of their seven matches.
The successful squad comprised captain Ian Long, Julian Heath, David Hubbard, Simon Wall, Ian Smith, John Lomas, Chris Whiteley, Mark Hubbard and Paul Appleyard.
