ROBIN Allen (15) a pupil at KES and a member of Stratford Fencing Club, continued his run of recent successes by finishing 21st at the Welsh Open Sabre Fencing Competition held in Cardiff over the weekend.
The competition saw a strong field attending, with ten of Great Britain's eleven world ranking sabre fencers competing.
Thirteen Stratford club members made the trip to Cardiff with Allen, who used his trademark speed to finish as the second highest placed under 17 year old.
Will Garrity, from the Stratford club and the current Under 20 National champion, reached the last 16 and clubmates Michael Raynor ( aged 16) and David Brenda (aged 15 and also a pupil at KES) reached the last 32.
Ten of the younger members of the club will be travelling to Munich in early December where they will make up almost half of the Great Britain Youth Squad.
