POLICE investigating the murder of a woman whose body was found on Remembrance Sunday near Droitwich Spa are seeking permission to extend the detention of a man arrested in connection with the killing.
Detectives investigating the discovery of Rosemary Corcoran's body will ask Worcester Magistrates this morning if they can continue questioning 35-year-old Phillip Smith, of Birmingham. He was arrested on Tuesday.
A man walking his dog in an isolated lane leading to Rashwood Nursing Home found the 25-year-old woman's body at 8.30am.
The victim lived in Castle Vale, Birmingham.
